It’s been a win-win-win and win again winter!
* In tennis The Northern 1st team (above top left) won a closely fought Division 1 to be crowned overall champions of the East Cheshire Winter Tennis League.
AND The Northern 2nd team (above top right, celebrating with the 3rds) won ALL 11 of their fixtures to win Division 8 outright and gain promotion.
* In squash the Ladies 1st team (above centre) have taken the Cheshire Ladies’ League titlefor a record 6th consecutive year (barring ’21 when there was no league season).
PLUS the Ladies 2nd team have won Division 2a and will also be playing 1st Division next season.
(The NWCSL Men’s League still has a couple of matches to go but watch this space …)
Meanwhile there were more squash successes in March for Nichol Weatherston Jnr, winning the Boys U-13 trophy at the Hallamshire Bronze Event, and top junior players Finn Withington and Saran Nghiem, winning the Men’s and Ladies’ titles at the PSA Satellite Tour event in Northern Crosby.
