Squash Adds up for Schools

You’ve heard of number crunching – now try number squashing!

The Northern has partnered with Rackets Cubed and Cavendish School to deliver a programme of weekly after-school sessions of sport and learning.

Rackets Cubed works with inner-city schools nationwide to support the health, well-being and aspirations of income-deprived youngsters. The children are introduced to an aspirational venue for weekly session including 1 hour of coaching, 1 hour of STEM education plus a nutritious meal.

“The kids are loving it and so are we!” said Jules, who welcomes the group of 20-plus youngsters every Tuesday afternoon.

“Not sure about the STEM part but the coaching is fun and the Bar are producing great food.”
